GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING ABSTRACTS
Format the text in accordance with the instructions below:
Title of the abstracts: should be centered over the main body in UPPER CASE using Arial 12 point font in bold capital letters. Abbreviations must not be used in the title
Author name should be in 10-point bold italic with the name of the presenting author underlined.
The name of each author must include the first given name, followed by the last name, in addition to, their full address including email-ID.
No title [Dr, MD, etc] should be added
Author affiliation should be in 10-point bold italic font with regular line spacing. Authors from different institutions should be identified by superscript numeral indices at the end of that author?s name. Indicate contact person with an asterisk [*] and provide his/her email address at the bottom of the abstract.
Body of the text should commence 2 lines below the last affiliation. The abstract should be less than 250 words and within the text box provided. It should be typed in 10-point Arial font using single space.
- Do not indent the title and each paragraph
- Abbreviation must be defined by placing them in [parentheses] after the full word the first time they appear. Use numerals to indicate numbers except when beginning sentences.
- Nonproprietary [generic] names, written in lower-case letters, are required the first time a drug is mentioned. Proprietary names are always CAPITALIZED.
- Simple tables or graphs [neat and in black ink] may be included if they fit within the production form.
- Headings: when used, the headings of ?Objectives?, ?Methods?, ?Results? and ?Conclusions? should be in bold letters.
GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION ? FREE COMMUNICATION / AWARD PAPER
1. Ten minutes will be given for each oral presentation, which includes seven minutes for presentation and three minutes for discussion.
2. LCD projector will be provided for Power Point presentations
3. Participants are advised to rehearse for time and preview their Power Point presentation before their presentation.
4. Floppies / pen drives / CDs should be given to the projectionist one hour before their session.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PREPARATION
1. The poster should be prepared in English. The Poster Board will be 100 cm x 100 cm size
2. The poster should be self-explanatory to enable comprehension by the visitors even in the absence of the authors.
3. Use of photographs, diagrams and tables will improve the quality of the poster.
4. Title should be brief, informative and readable.
5. For a poster to be effective, the text should be kept to a minimum ? be clear and concise.
6. Use bold font to enhance legibility.
7. Lettering used for the heading should be at least 2.5cms high and that of text at least 1.0cm but preferably larger.
8. Poster presenters are responsible for mounting and removing their posters on the designated board by poster number.
9. Materials for putting the posters on poster board will be provided by the Secretariat.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
On-line Submission only : Each abstract should be submitted in electronic format by email to wcnhf2012@yahoo.com as an attachment and a hard copy of the same on A4 size paper along with a forwarding letter from the concerned Department/Institute by post. Electronic format will be accepted only after receiving the hard copy.
